Job Title: Leisure Services Director

Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Leisure Services Director to join our team. As the Leisure Services Director, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our leisure services department, which includes recreational programs, events, facilities, and staff. You will play a crucial role in creating a positive and enjoyable experience for our community members and visitors. This is a leadership position that requires excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement a comprehensive leisure services program that aligns with the organization's mission and goals.
• Manage and supervise a team of staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations.
• Plan, coordinate, and execute a variety of recreational programs and events, such as sports leagues, fitness classes, and community festivals.
• Maintain and oversee the upkeep of all leisure facilities, including parks, community centers, and recreational areas.
• Collaborate with local organizations and businesses to enhance and expand leisure services offerings.
• Develop and manage the leisure services budget, ensuring financial responsibility and accountability.
• Ensure all programs and facilities comply with safety regulations and maintain a high level of cleanliness.
• Implement strategies to increase participation and engagement in leisure services programs and events.
• Act as a liaison between the organization and community members, addressing any concerns or issues that may arise.
• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to continuously improve the leisure services department.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Recreation Management, Leisure Studies, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a leadership role in the leisure services industry.
• Strong knowledge of program planning, facility management, and budget management.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to oversee programs and events.
• Passion for promoting and providing access to recreational activities for all community members.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
