Key Responsibilities:

Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' mental health status and develop individualized care plans based on their needs.
Administer medication as prescribed by psychiatrists and monitor patients for any side effects or adverse reactions.
Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team, including therapists, social workers, and psychiatrists, to ensure a holistic approach to patient care.
Provide individual and group therapy sessions to patients and facilitate therapeutic activities to help them cope with their mental health conditions.
Educate patients and their families about mental health disorders, treatment options, and techniques for managing symptoms.
Monitor patients' progress and make adjustments to their care plans as needed.
Document all patient interactions, interventions, and progress in a timely and accurate manner.
Respond to psychiatric emergencies and provide crisis intervention when necessary.
Participate in ongoing professional development activities to stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in the field of psychiatric nursing.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
Active nursing license in the state of practice.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in psychiatric nursing.
Knowledge of mental health disorders, treatment modalities, and medications.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
Compassionate, patient, and empathetic towards patients with mental health issues.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
