Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement sustainable farming practices for our organic farming projects.
• Collaborate with our team of farmers to ensure that all farming activities are in line with organic farming standards.
• Monitor and maintain the health of our crops, including pest control, weed management, and soil fertility.
• Oversee the cultivation, harvesting, and packaging of organic produce.
• Conduct regular soil and water testing to ensure compliance with organic farming regulations.
• Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to source organic seeds, fertilizers, and other necessary materials.
• Manage the budget for organic farming projects and ensure cost-effective operations.
• Train and supervise farm workers on organic farming techniques and safety protocols.
• Implement and maintain record-keeping systems for organic farming activities.
• Stay up-to-date with industry developments and regulations related to organic farming.
• Develop and maintain relationships with local organic farming organizations and certification agencies.
• Plan and execute marketing strategies to promote our organic produce to potential customers.
• Address any issues or concerns raised by customers regarding our organic farming practices.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Horticulture, or a related field.
• Proven experience in organic farming and sustainable agriculture practices.
• Familiarity with organic certification requirements and regulations.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in record-keeping and data analysis.
• Knowledge of marketing strategies for organic produce is an asset.
• Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
• Physical stamina and ability to work in outdoor environments in various weather conditions.
