Job Title: Curriculum Coordinator

Position Overview: As a Curriculum Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in the development, implementation, and evaluation of curriculum for our organization. You will work closely with teachers, administrators, and curriculum developers to ensure that the curriculum is aligned with our educational goals and meets the needs of our students. You will be responsible for overseeing the entire curriculum process, from initial planning to final evaluation. This is a highly collaborative and dynamic role that requires strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement a comprehensive curriculum plan that aligns with our organization's mission, vision, and educational goals.
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and curriculum developers to determine the scope and sequence of the curriculum, as well as the instructional strategies and resources needed.
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the curriculum by collecting and analyzing data, conducting surveys and assessments, and soliciting feedback from stakeholders.
• Facilitate professional development opportunities for teachers to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to effectively implement the curriculum.
• Ensure that the curriculum meets state and national standards, and make necessary adjustments as needed.
• Manage the budget for curriculum resources and materials, and work with vendors to negotiate pricing and contracts.
• Stay current with educational trends and research to continuously improve and enhance the curriculum.
• Collaborate with the assessment team to develop and implement assessments that align with the curriculum and provide meaningful data on student progress.
• Coordinate with other departments and stakeholders to ensure that the curriculum is integrated across all subject areas and grade levels.
• Communicate regularly with parents and the community about the curriculum and its implementation.
• Supervise and mentor curriculum support staff, providing guidance and support as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in curriculum development or related field.
• Strong knowledge of curriculum design, instruction, and assessment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, administrators, and other stakeholders.
• Proven leadership and project management skills.
• Knowledge of current educational trends and research.
• Experience in budget management and vendor negotiations.
• Proficient in using technology for curriculum development and evaluation.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
