Key Responsibilities:

Design and develop packaging solutions for our products, ensuring they are functional, cost-effective, and meet all regulatory requirements
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product development, marketing, and operations to understand packaging needs and develop solutions that align with business goals
Conduct feasibility studies and testing to evaluate packaging materials and designs, making recommendations for improvements
Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in packaging technology, materials, and processes to continuously improve our packaging solutions
Analyze and improve packaging processes to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and minimize waste
Prepare and maintain detailed documentation, including packaging specifications, drawings, and testing reports
Manage relationships with external vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of packaging materials and maintain quality standards
Participate in product development meetings to provide insights and recommendations on packaging design and materials
Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with regulatory and quality standards
Identify and troubleshoot packaging issues, implementing corrective actions as needed

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Packaging Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
Minimum of 5 of experience in packaging design, preferably in Packaging & Containers
Strong understanding of packaging materials, processes, and regulations
Proficient in CAD software and other packaging design tools
Excellent project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
A keen eye for detail and a passion for innovation
Ability to work well within a team and collaborate with cross-functional teams
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma methodologies is a plus
