Position: Litigation Associate

Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Litigation Associate to join our dynamic legal team. As a Litigation Associate, you will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of complex litigation matters, while gaining valuable experience and mentorship from our senior attorneys. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil litigation, excellent communication skills, and a passion for advocating on behalf of our clients.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct legal research and analysis, and draft legal memoranda and pleadings
• Assist with all aspects of case management, including discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation
• Attend hearings, depositions, and mediations, and effectively communicate with opposing counsel and the court
• Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop litigation strategies and provide insightful analysis and advice
• Maintain accurate and organized case files and document management systems
• Keep clients informed and updated on case progress and developments
• Participate in firm marketing and business development initiatives, including attending networking events and developing relationships with potential clients

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
• Admission to the state bar and in good standing
• 2-4 years of experience in civil litigation, preferably in a law firm setting
• Strong research, writing, and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills
• Flexibility to work long hours and travel as needed for case-related matters
