About the Role: We are currently seeking a highly organized and enthusiastic Recreation Coordinator to join our team. As the Recreation Coordinator, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and coordinating recreational activities and programs for our community. This role requires a strong passion for creating engaging and fun experiences for individuals of all ages.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement a variety of recreational programs and activities for individuals of all ages, including but not limited to sports, arts and crafts, fitness, and social events.
• Collaborate with other departments and community organizations to coordinate and promote recreational activities.
• Manage program budgets, including purchasing supplies and materials, and tracking expenses.
• Recruit, train, and supervise a team of volunteers to assist with various recreational activities.
• Maintain accurate records of program attendance, participation, and feedback, and use this information to make improvements and recommendations for future programs.
• Ensure all recreational facilities and equipment are safe, clean, and in good working condition.
• Coordinate and oversee special events, such as holiday parties and community festivals.
• Respond to inquiries and concerns from community members regarding recreational activities and programs.
• Stay up-to-date with current trends and developments in the recreation field and make recommendations for incorporating new ideas into our programs.
• Adhere to all safety and risk management protocols and procedures.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Recreation, Leisure Studies, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in coordinating recreational programs and activities.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Knowledge of budget management and event planning.
• First Aid and CPR certification is preferred.
• Must be willing to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
