We are currently seeking a reliable and efficient Cashier to join our team.As a Cashier, you will be responsible for providing outstanding customer service by efficiently and accurately conducting cash transactions, handling returns and exchanges, and ensuring a smooth checkout process for our customers. Your excellent communication skills and attention to detail will play a vital role in delivering a positive shopping experience to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet customers with a warm and friendly demeanor, creating a welcoming atmosphere in the store
• Scan and process items accurately and efficiently using POS system
• Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions with precision and integrity
• Maintain knowledge of current promotions, discounts, and store policies
• Assist customers with any inquiries or concerns and escalate to the appropriate staff member if necessary
• Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the checkout area and assist in restocking merchandise when needed
• Collaborate with team members to achieve sales targets and provide excellent customer service
• Follow all cash handling procedures and maintain a high level of accuracy in cash counts and register balancing
• Uphold company standards for customer service, safety, and security
• Continuously seek opportunities to improve processes and provide feedback to management

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience as a Cashier or in a customer service role is an asset
• Strong math skills and ability to handle cash transactions accurately
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Proficient in using POS systems and basic computer skills
• Must be able to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays
• Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 20lbs
