Job Title: Data Platform Manager

Job Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Platform Manager to join our dynamic team. The Data Platform Manager will play a crucial role in overseeing the development and maintenance of our company's data platform. This individual will be responsible for managing a team of data engineers and analysts to ensure the smooth functioning of our data platform and to drive data-driven decision making throughout the organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data management, analytics, and leadership, with a passion for driving innovation and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of our company's data platform, including data architecture, data modeling, data integration, and data quality
• Manage a team of data engineers and analysts, providing guidance, coaching, and performance evaluations
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data requirements, prioritize projects, and ensure timely delivery of data solutions
• Develop and maintain data governance policies and procedures to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and security
• Monitor and analyze data platform performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions to optimize performance and scalability
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in data management and analytics, and make recommendations for adopting new technologies or processes to improve the data platform
• Develop and maintain relationships with data vendors and external partners to ensure timely and accurate data feeds and integrations
• Lead the implementation of data analytics tools and techniques to support business decision making
• Collaborate with the IT team to ensure the data platform is integrated with other systems and applications
• Act as a subject matter expert on data management and analytics, providing guidance and support to the organization as needed

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Management, or a related field; Master's degree preferred
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in data management, data engineering, or a related field
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a leadership or management role
• Proven experience in designing and managing data platforms and data warehouses
• Strong understanding of data governance, data quality, and data security principles
• Proficient in SQL and data modeling
• Experience with data integration tools such as Informatica, Talend, or similar
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud is a plus
