Job Title: Wood Product Assembler

Position Overview: As a Wood Product Assembler, you will be responsible for assembling various wood products such as furniture, cabinetry, and other wooden structures. You will work with a team of skilled craftsmen to produce high-quality wood products that meet the specifications and expectations of our clients. This role requires a strong attention to detail, good hand-eye coordination, and the ability to work with a variety of tools and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the materials required and assembly process
• Measure and cut wood pieces to the appropriate size using hand and power tools
• Assemble wood products using a variety of techniques such as gluing, nailing, and screwing
• Sand and smooth surfaces of finished products to ensure a high-quality finish
• Install hardware and other components onto finished products
• Inspect finished products for quality and accuracy, making any necessary adjustments or repairs
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper storage of tools and materials
• Collaborate with team members and communicate any issues or concerns regarding the assembly process
• Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in wood product assembly or a related field
• Strong understanding of woodworking tools, techniques, and materials
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
• Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Physical stamina and the ability to lift and move heavy objects
• Knowledge of safety protocols and guidelines for working with woodworking tools and equipment
