Key Responsibilities:

Plan and lead worship services, including selecting music, creating setlists, and coordinating with other worship team members
Recruit, train, and develop a team of musicians and vocalists to lead worship on a regular basis
Collaborate with the pastoral team to ensure the overall vision and theme of the worship services align with the church's mission
Create and maintain a positive and inclusive worship environment that encourages congregational participation
Incorporate a variety of musical styles and genres to appeal to the diverse congregation
Prepare and lead rehearsals for the worship team, ensuring a high level of musical excellence
Foster spiritual growth and discipleship within the worship team, providing guidance and support as needed
Stay updated on current worship trends and implement new ideas to keep services fresh and engaging
Oversee the maintenance and organization of all worship equipment and instruments

Qualifications:

Strong personal faith in Jesus Christ and a commitment to living a life of worship
Minimum of 3 years of experience leading worship in a church setting
Proficient in playing at least one instrument (guitar, piano, etc.) and strong vocal abilities
Ability to read and write music and create chord charts
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with team members and engage with the congregation
Strong organizational and leadership skills with the ability to manage a team and delegate responsibilities effectively
Passion for worship and a desire to lead others in experiencing God's presence through music
Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends for special services and events
