Position: Marine Structural Designer

Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Marine Structural Designer to join our team. As a Marine Structural Designer, you will be responsible for designing and developing structural solutions for marine vessels, platforms, and other offshore structures. You will work closely with engineers, architects, and project managers to ensure that all designs meet safety, quality, and budget requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop structural solutions for marine vessels, platforms, and other offshore structures
• Create detailed drawings and specifications using CAD software
• Conduct structural analysis and calculations to ensure the integrity and stability of designs
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, and project managers to ensure designs meet safety, quality, and budget requirements
• Participate in design reviews and provide recommendations for improvements
• Research and recommend new materials, techniques, and technologies for structural design
• Prepare cost estimates and project timelines for structural design projects
• Liaise with suppliers and contractors to ensure timely delivery of materials and adherence to project specifications
• Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor the progress and quality of structural installations
• Provide technical support and guidance to project teams and other departments as needed

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Naval Architecture, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in marine structural design
• Proficiency in CAD software and structural analysis tools
• Strong understanding of marine engineering principles and offshore construction methods
• Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines
• Willingness to travel for site visits and inspections as required
