SQL Server Developer

This is a full-time position, with the flexibility to work remotely or from our office. The SQL Server Developer will work closely with our software development team and may be required to work occasional evenings or weekends to meet project deadlines. Occasional travel may be required for client meetings or project-related activities.

Job Title: SQL Server Developer

Position Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled SQL Server Developer to join our growing team. As an SQL Server Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our company's database systems. Your primary focus will be on writing efficient SQL queries, creating and optimizing database tables, and ensuring data integrity and security. You will work closely with our software development team to understand their needs and create custom database solutions to support their applications. Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop SQL database systems, tables, and queries to support business applications
• Write efficient and optimized SQL queries to retrieve and manipulate data
• Develop stored procedures, functions, and triggers to automate tasks and improve database performance
• Monitor database performance and identify areas for improvement
• Identify and troubleshoot database issues, and implement solutions to ensure data integrity and security
• Collaborate with software developers to understand their database requirements and provide custom solutions to support their applications
• Create and maintain database documentation, such as data dictionaries, data flow diagrams, and data models
• Conduct regular backups and disaster recovery procedures to ensure data availability and integrity
• Stay updated on the latest database technologies and tools, and make recommendations for their implementation
• Work with cross-functional teams to identify and implement database best practices and standards

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field
• 3+ years of experience as an SQL Server Developer or similar role
• Strong expertise in SQL database design, development, and optimization
• Experience with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
• Familiarity with database security and performance tuning
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience with Agile development methodologies is a plus
• Microsoft SQL Server certification is a plus
