Salary: USD: $60,000 - $100,000 per year

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Academic Advisor to join our team. As an Academic Advisor, you will play a crucial role in guiding and supporting students throughout their academic journey. You will work closely with students, faculty, and staff to ensure that students receive the necessary resources and support to achieve their academic and career goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Meet with students on a regular basis to provide academic advising and support.
• Help students develop personalized academic plans based on their interests, strengths, and career goals.
• Assist students in understanding degree requirements, course selection, and academic policies.
• Monitor students' academic progress and provide intervention and support when necessary.
• Collaborate with faculty and staff to develop and implement academic support programs and initiatives.
• Stay updated on current academic programs, policies, and procedures to provide accurate and up-to-date information to students.
• Utilize advising software and tools to track and document students' progress and communication.
• Organize and facilitate workshops and information sessions to educate students on academic resources and opportunities.
• Serve as a liaison between students and other departments, such as financial aid, registrar, and career services.
• Participate in recruitment and orientation events to assist new students in understanding academic expectations and resources.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in all interactions with students.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Counseling, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in academic advising or counseling.
• Strong knowledge of academic programs, policies, and procedures.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to build rapport with students and establish trust.
• Proven ability to work with diverse student populations.
• Proficient in using advising software and tools.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
