Position: Student Success Coach

Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and passionate individual to join our team as a Student Success Coach. As a Student Success Coach, you will play a crucial role in supporting and guiding our students towards achieving academic success and personal growth. You will serve as a mentor, advisor, and advocate for our students, helping them navigate through the challenges of college life and achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide one-on-one coaching and support to students to help them develop academic and personal goals and create action plans to achieve them.
• Conduct regular check-ins with students to monitor their progress, offer guidance, and provide resources to help them overcome any obstacles.
• Collaborate with faculty, staff, and other student support services to ensure a holistic approach to student success.
• Develop and facilitate workshops and seminars on topics such as time management, study skills, and stress management to enhance students' academic performance and overall well-being.
• Assist with the development and implementation of retention strategies to increase student success and engagement.
• Serve as a resource for students in navigating the college policies, procedures, and resources.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student interactions and progress towards their goals.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current on best practices in student success and coaching.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in counseling, education, psychology, or a related field.
• Prior experience working with college students in a coaching, counseling, or advising capacity.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with students from diverse backgrounds.
• Knowledge of student development theory and best practices in coaching and mentoring.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Empathetic, patient, and non-judgmental approach towards supporting students.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically.
• Experience with data tracking and analysis preferred.
