Overview: We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Transportation Analyst to join our team. As a Transportation Analyst, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient transportation of goods and materials for our company. Your main responsibility will be to analyze transportation data and trends to make strategic decisions that will optimize our transportation processes and contribute to the overall success of our company.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze transportation data and trends to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvement.
• Develop and maintain transportation metrics and KPIs to track performance and identify areas for improvement.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including logistics, supply chain, and operations to understand transportation needs and develop solutions.
• Monitor carrier performance and negotiate rates with transportation providers to ensure cost-effectiveness and efficiency.
• Identify and implement new transportation strategies to improve service levels and reduce transportation costs.
• Conduct regular transportation audits to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Utilize transportation management systems and other software to manage and track shipments.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with carriers and vendors to ensure timely and effective transportation services.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and transportation regulations to make informed decisions.
• Prepare and present transportation reports and analysis to management.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in transportation and logistics, preferably in an analyst role.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and manipulate large amounts of data.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other data analysis tools.
• Knowledge of transportation management systems and other logistics software.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
