Job Title: Textile Designer

Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and creative Textile Designer to join our team. As a Textile Designer, you will be responsible for creating unique and innovative designs for a wide range of textile products. You will work closely with our design team and clients to develop concepts and bring them to life through sketches, digital illustrations, and fabric swatches. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of textile materials, color theory, and market trends.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the design team to develop new textile designs that align with the company's brand and vision
• Research and analyze current market trends to anticipate future design needs
• Create concept sketches and digital illustrations to present to clients
• Develop detailed technical drawings and specifications for production
• Source and select appropriate fabrics and trims for each design
• Work closely with manufacturers to ensure designs are accurately translated into finished products
• Participate in the product development process, from initial concept to final production
• Maintain accurate records of design process and communicate progress to team members and clients
• Attend trade shows and events to stay updated on industry trends and network with potential clients

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Textile Design, Fashion Design, or a related field
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in textile design or a similar role
• Strong understanding of textile materials, printing techniques, and color theory
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Photoshop and Illustrator
• Excellent hand-drawing and sketching skills
• Knowledge of industry trends and ability to translate them into unique designs
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work within tight deadlines
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong portfolio showcasing a variety of textile designs
