Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement production plans to meet customer demands and optimize efficiency.
Manage and coordinate all activities within the steel production department, including scheduling, inventory management, and quality control.
Monitor production processes to ensure they are running smoothly and efficiently.
Identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to increase productivity and reduce costs.
Work closely with the maintenance team to ensure all equipment is properly maintained and any issues are addressed in a timely manner.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as supply chain and sales, to ensure timely delivery of products to customers.
Implement and maintain safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
Train, mentor, and supervise production staff to ensure they are meeting performance standards.
Oversee budgeting and cost management for the steel production department.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments, and implement best practices to improve production processes.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Management, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in steel production, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
Strong knowledge of steel production processes and equipment.
Proven track record of successfully managing and leading a team.
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Ability to analyze data and make data-driven decisions.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and production management software.
Willingness to work flexible hours and be on-call as needed.
