Position: Development Director

Location: Seville, Spain

Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Development Director to join our team. As the Development Director, you will be responsible for leading and implementing our fundraising strategies to support our organization's mission and goals. This is a senior-level position that requires strong leadership skills, strategic thinking, and a proven track record in successful fundraising efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising plan to achieve the organization's financial goals.
• Conduct research to identify potential donors and create strategies to cultivate and maintain relationships with them.
• Manage a portfolio of major donors, including individuals, foundations, and corporations, and oversee stewardship efforts to ensure continued support.
• Plan and execute fundraising events, including donor cultivation events, galas, and other special events.
• Collaborate with the marketing and communications team to create fundraising materials, including grant proposals, annual reports, and donor recognition materials.
• Work closely with the Board of Directors to engage and leverage their networks for fundraising opportunities.
• Develop and monitor the annual development budget and provide regular reports to the Executive Director and Board of Directors.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date donor records and ensure compliance with all legal and ethical standards for fundraising.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a related field, Master's degree preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in nonprofit fundraising, with a track record of securing major gifts.
• Proven experience in developing and implementing successful fundraising strategies.
• Strong knowledge and understanding of donor cultivation and stewardship techniques.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present to a diverse group of stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Proficient in donor management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
