Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct tours of designated locations, such as historical sites, museums, or natural landmarks
• Provide engaging and informative commentary throughout the tour, catering to the interests and needs of the group
• Ensure the safety of all guests during the tour, adhering to all safety regulations and protocols
• Answer questions and provide recommendations for local attractions, restaurants, and activities
• Maintain a high level of professionalism and customer service, representing our company in a positive manner
• Keep track of attendance and collect fees from guests when necessary
• Collaborate with other team members to develop new tour routes and enhance existing ones
• Stay up-to-date on relevant information, including current events, local history, and cultural trends, to enhance the tour experience
• Handle any unexpected situations or guest concerns with tact and efficiency
• Assist with the setup and breakdown of tour equipment and materials

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor's degree in tourism, hospitality, or related field is preferred
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a tour guide or in a customer service role, preferably in the tourism industry
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures
• Proficient in multiple languages is a plus
• Strong knowledge of the local area, including historical and cultural landmarks
• Ability to navigate and lead groups in various environments and terrains, including outdoor and indoor locations
• Physically fit and able to stand and walk for extended periods of time
• Possess a friendly and approachable demeanor, with a passion for providing exceptional customer service
• Quick thinking, adaptable, and able to handle unexpected situations with grace and professionalism
• Proficient in the use of technology, including GPS devices and audio equipment
• Flexibility to work varying schedules, including weekends, evenings, and holidays, depending on the demands of the job
