Job Description: We are seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Defense and Space Program Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, development, and execution of defense and space programs. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful delivery of projects within budget and on schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement strategic plans for defense and space programs, in alignment with company goals and objectives
• Manage the full lifecycle of programs, from concept development to delivery, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource management
• Lead and coordinate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, scientists, project managers, and external partners, to ensure program success
• Identify potential risks and develop mitigation plans to minimize impact on program timelines and budgets
• Monitor program progress and provide regular updates to senior management, highlighting any issues or deviations from the plan
• Collaborate with business development teams to identify new opportunities and contribute to proposal development for potential programs
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards, including ITAR and NIST, throughout the program lifecycle
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement, seeking out ways to streamline processes and improve program efficiency and effectiveness
• Mentor and develop team members, providing guidance and support to help them reach their full potential
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in defense and space technology, and incorporate relevant advancements into program plans and strategies

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, or a related field; Master's degree preferred
• Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in program management, preferably in the defense or space industry
• Proven track record of successfully managing large, complex defense and space programs, from concept to delivery
• Strong understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques
• Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams
• Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards, including ITAR and NIST
• Experience in budget management and resource allocation
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate risks
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
