Job Title: Data Storage Program Manager

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the overall data storage program, ensuring its successful execution and delivery within defined timelines and budget.
• Define the program’s objectives, goals, and scope in collaboration with stakeholders and ensure alignment with the organization's strategic objectives.
• Develop and implement program plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and budget management.
• Monitor and track program progress, identify and address potential risks and roadblocks, and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, finance, and operations, to ensure alignment and coordination of efforts.
• Work closely with data storage vendors and service providers to evaluate and select the best solutions for the program.
• Negotiate contracts and service level agreements with vendors to ensure cost-effectiveness and quality of services.
• Develop and implement data storage policies, procedures, and standards to ensure data security, accessibility, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Oversee the deployment and implementation of data storage solutions, including data migration and integration with existing systems.
• Manage and coach a team of data storage specialists, providing guidance, support, and performance evaluations.
• Continuously monitor and evaluate the performance of data storage systems and make recommendations for improvements and upgrades.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including senior leadership, to ensure their support and buy-in for the program's success.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field. Master's degree is preferred.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in program or project management, preferably in the data storage or IT industry.
• Proven track record of successfully managing large and complex data storage programs, from planning to execution.
• Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide cross-functional teams.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
• In-depth knowledge of data storage solutions and technologies, including cloud storage, backup and recovery, and data archiving.
• Experience in contract negotiation and vendor management.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and make data-driven decisions.
• Excellent project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage timelines, and deliver results within tight deadlines.
• Familiarity with data security and regulatory compliance requirements, such as GDPR and HIPAA.
• PMP certification is a plus.
