Position: Container Packaging Engineer

Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Container Packaging Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing packaging solutions for our company's products. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that our packaging meets safety, quality, and cost standards while also meeting the needs of our customers. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering, a passion for packaging design, and excellent project management skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop innovative packaging solutions for our products, considering factors such as cost, safety, sustainability, and customer requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product development, procurement, and quality assurance, to ensure that packaging meets all necessary standards and specifications.
• Conduct packaging trials and testing to evaluate performance and identify areas for improvement.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in packaging technology to continuously improve our packaging processes and materials.
• Manage packaging projects from concept to implementation, including timelines, budgets, and stakeholder communication.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation of packaging specifications, trials, and test results.
• Identify and troubleshoot packaging issues, and implement corrective actions to ensure product quality and safety.
• Partner with suppliers to source and qualify packaging materials and equipment.
• Adhere to all regulatory and compliance requirements related to packaging, such as FDA guidelines and hazardous materials handling.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Packaging Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in packaging design and development.
• Strong knowledge of packaging materials, processes, and testing methods.
• Proficient in CAD software, such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD.
• Project management experience, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Familiarity with regulatory and compliance requirements for packaging.
• Experience in the consumer goods or manufacturing industry is preferred.
