Position Title: Systems Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement complex systems to meet business requirements and technical specifications
• Conduct system analysis and recommend solutions to improve performance, reliability, and scalability
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of systems and applications
• Develop and maintain system documentation, including diagrams, technical specifications, and user manuals
• Troubleshoot and resolve system issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement preventive measures
• Monitor system performance and implement enhancements to optimize efficiency and reliability
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, and make recommendations for continuous improvement
• Manage system security and ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards
• Provide technical support and training to end-users and other team members as needed
• Participate in the planning and execution of system upgrades and migrations
• Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans and perform regular backups to ensure system availability
• Collaborate with vendors and service providers to ensure timely resolution of system-related issues
• Lead and participate in cross-functional projects to improve system performance and functionality
• Contribute to the development of best practices and standards for system engineering processes

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in systems engineering or a similar role
• Strong understanding of system design principles, including scalability, reliability, and security
• Experience with virtualization technologies, such as VMware and Hyper-V
• Proficiency in scripting languages, such as Bash, Python, or PowerShell
• Knowledge of network protocols and technologies, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VLANs
• Experience with system monitoring and alerting tools, such as Nagios, Zabbix, or SolarWinds
• Familiarity with cloud computing platforms, such as AWS or Azure
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes
