Key Responsibilities:

Provide academic advising to students on course selection, degree requirements, and academic policies
Develop and maintain relationships with students to understand their academic needs and goals
Assist students in creating customized academic plans that align with their interests and career aspirations
Monitor students' academic progress and intervene when necessary to address any issues or challenges
Collaborate with faculty and staff to support students in achieving their academic goals
Conduct group advising sessions and workshops to educate students on academic resources and opportunities
Stay up-to-date with university policies and academic requirements to provide accurate and relevant information to students
Collaborate with other academic advisors to improve and streamline advising processes
Participate in orientation programs and other outreach initiatives to engage and support students
Keep detailed records of student interactions and maintain confidentiality of student information

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in education, counseling, or a related field
Minimum of 2 years of experience in academic advising or a related role
Strong knowledge of academic policies and requirements
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work with diverse student populations and adapt to their needs
Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team
Comfortable with technology and proficiency in Microsoft Office and student information systems
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
