Detective

As a Detective, you may be required to work long and irregular hours, including weekends and holidays. Position: Detective

Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Detective to join our team. As a Detective, you will be responsible for investigating and solving crimes, gathering evidence, interviewing witnesses and suspects, and making arrests. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a passion for upholding the law.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough investigations of crimes, including but not limited to homicides, robberies, sexual assaults, and fraud.
• Collect and analyze evidence from crime scenes, such as fingerprints, DNA, and weapons.
• Interview witnesses and suspects to gather information and establish timelines.
• Collaborate with other law enforcement agencies, forensic experts, and prosecutors to build a solid case.
• Make arrests and prepare detailed reports to document the evidence and procedures used.
• Testify in court as an expert witness and present evidence to support the case.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest laws, techniques, and technology used in investigations.
• Attend training and seminars to enhance skills and knowledge.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Law Enforcement, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Detective or in a similar role.
• Extensive knowledge of criminal investigation procedures, laws, and regulations.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity.
• Physical and mental fitness to handle the demands of the job.
• Valid driver's license and clean criminal record.
