Position: Freight Hauler

Overview: We are seeking an experienced and reliable Freight Hauler to join our team. As a Freight Hauler, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials from one location to another, ensuring timely delivery and safe handling of all cargo. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, excellent driving skills, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and maintain a commercial vehicle in a safe and efficient manner
• Load and unload goods onto the truck, ensuring proper distribution and securing of the load
• Plan and follow the most efficient route for each delivery, taking into account traffic and weather conditions
• Communicate with dispatch to provide updates on delivery status and any potential delays
• Ensure all necessary paperwork, including bills of lading and delivery receipts, are completed accurately and submitted on time
• Perform regular inspections of the truck and report any maintenance or repair needs
• Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations, as well as company policies and procedures
• Maintain a clean and organized truck, both inside and out
• Provide exceptional customer service, addressing any concerns or issues that may arise during delivery

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Freight Hauler or a similar role
• Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures for operating a commercial vehicle
• Ability to read and interpret maps and follow directions
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent time-management and organizational skills
• Physical ability to load and unload cargo, including lifting heavy objects
• Flexibility to work long hours and weekends, as needed
• Willingness to travel overnight for deliveries, if required
