Position: Data Risk Specialist

Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Risk Specialist to join our dynamic team. As a Data Risk Specialist, you will play a critical role in identifying and mitigating potential risks associated with our company's data. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and implement risk management strategies and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough risk assessments on all data processes and systems, identifying potential vulnerabilities and threats
• Develop and maintain risk management policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure data security and privacy
• Collaborate with IT and security teams to implement risk mitigation strategies and controls
• Monitor and analyze data risk metrics to identify trends and make recommendations for improvement
• Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and regulatory requirements related to data risk management
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders to provide updates on data risk assessments and mitigation efforts
• Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations
• Respond to data security incidents and lead investigations to determine root causes and implement corrective actions
• Train employees on data risk management policies and procedures to promote a culture of risk awareness and compliance

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in data risk management, information security, or a related field
• Strong understanding of data risk assessment methodologies and frameworks
• Knowledge of industry regulations such as GDPR, CCPA, and HIPAA
• Experience with data security tools and technologies
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
• Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) certification is a plus
