Key Responsibilities:

Oversee the care and feeding of livestock, including cows, goats, sheep, and other farm animals
Monitor the health of the animals and provide necessary treatments or medications when needed
Maintain clean and organized living quarters for the animals
Identify and address any potential health or behavioral issues in the animals
Develop and implement feeding schedules and nutritional plans for the animals
Manage breeding and reproduction processes for the livestock
Maintain accurate records of animal births, deaths, and other important information
Coordinate with veterinarians and other professionals for animal health and breeding needs
Operate and maintain farm equipment, including tractors, trucks, and trailers
Oversee and assist with the birthing process of livestock
Monitor and maintain the quality of the animal's environment, including pasture management and fencing
Train and supervise other farm workers in proper animal care techniques
Maintain a safe and clean work environment at all times
Stay up-to-date on industry standards and new techniques in animal care and farming practices
Communicate effectively with other team members and management to ensure the smooth operation of the farm

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum of 2 years of experience working with livestock on a farm
Knowledge of animal health and nutrition
Ability to operate and maintain farm equipment
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Physical ability to lift and move heavy objects and work in various weather conditions
Passion for animal care and farming
