Job Title: Career Services Specialist

Position Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Career Services Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in career counseling, job placement, and employer engagement. As a Career Services Specialist, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive career guidance and support to our students and alumni. You will also play a key role in developing partnerships with employers to facilitate job opportunities for our graduates.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide one-on-one career counseling to students and alumni, including resume and cover letter reviews, mock interviews, and career assessments
• Conduct workshops and seminars on career-related topics such as job search strategies, networking, and interview skills
• Develop and maintain relationships with employers to identify job opportunities for our graduates
• Collaborate with faculty and staff to integrate career development into the curriculum and overall student experience
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and job market demands to provide relevant and current career advice to students and alumni
• Utilize career services software to track student and alumni job placements and maintain accurate records
• Plan and execute career fairs, on-campus recruiting events, and employer information sessions
• Assist students and alumni with job search resources, such as online job boards, professional networking sites, and career development tools
• Monitor and report on career services metrics and outcomes to measure the success of career programs and initiatives

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Counseling, Human Resources, or a related field
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in career counseling, job placement, or employer engagement
• Strong understanding of career development theories and practices
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and networking skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Proficiency in using career services software and other technology tools
• Knowledge of labor market trends and job search resources
• Experience in event planning and coordination
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
