Position: Law Enforcement Detective

Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Law Enforcement Detective to join our team. As a Law Enforcement Detective, you will play a crucial role in investigating and solving crimes, ensuring the safety of the community, and upholding the law.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough and timely investigations of criminal activities, including but not limited to homicides, robberies, fraud, and other serious offenses.
• Gather evidence, interview witnesses and suspects, and analyze data to identify and apprehend suspects.
• Collaborate with other law enforcement agencies, such as federal, state, and local authorities, to exchange information and resources.
• Prepare detailed reports and provide testimony in court as needed.
• Develop and maintain relationships with community members and organizations to gather information and support crime prevention efforts.
• Utilize specialized techniques and equipment to collect and analyze evidence, such as fingerprinting, DNA testing, and surveillance.
• Stay up-to-date on laws, policies, and procedures related to law enforcement and attend training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge.
• Assist in training and mentoring new detectives and other law enforcement personnel.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in all aspects of the job.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in law enforcement, with at least 2 years of experience as a detective.
• Extensive knowledge of investigative techniques, criminal law, and criminal justice procedures.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Physical ability to perform duties, including lifting, running, and climbing.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Willingness to work irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Must pass a background check and drug screening.
