Position: Translation Project Manager

Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Translation Project Manager to join our team. As a Translation Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of translation projects, from initiation to completion. You will work closely with translators, clients, and other team members to deliver high-quality translations within predetermined timelines and budgets. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and organizational skills, a strong understanding of translation processes, and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and implement translation projects, including defining project scope, timelines, and budget.
• Communicate with clients to understand their specific translation needs and provide cost estimates.
• Collaborate with translators to ensure project requirements are understood and met.
• Monitor project progress and make adjustments as needed to ensure timely delivery.
• Manage project budgets and ensure projects are delivered within budget.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, keeping all team members informed of deadlines and deliverables.
• Coordinate with other team members, such as editors and proofreaders, to ensure quality and consistency of translations.
• Review and approve final translations before delivery to clients.
• Maintain accurate project documentation and records.
• Identify and resolve any issues or roadblocks that may impact project timelines or quality.
• Ensure all project deliverables meet client expectations and adhere to industry standards and guidelines.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Translation, Linguistics, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in translation project management.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and at least one other language.
• Strong understanding of translation processes, tools, and technology.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Exceptional organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
• Proficiency in project management software and tools.
• Knowledge of different file formats and CAT tools.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
