Overview: Our company is seeking a highly skilled Water Treatment Plant Operator to join our team and ensure the safe and efficient operation of our water treatment facility. As a Water Treatment Plant Operator, you will be responsible for monitoring and controlling the treatment process to ensure that our water meets all quality and safety standards. You will play a crucial role in providing clean and safe drinking water to the community.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate, monitor, and maintain all equipment in the water treatment plant to ensure proper functioning and adherence to all safety procedures
• Perform routine checks on water quality, flow rates, and chemical levels to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations
• Adjust treatment processes and chemical dosages as needed to maintain water quality and meet production demands
• Record and analyze data from various tests and inspections to identify any abnormalities or potential issues
• Troubleshoot and resolve equipment malfunctions and mechanical issues in a timely manner to minimize downtime and maintain production
• Conduct regular inspections of the treatment plant and identify any equipment in need of repairs or replacement
• Maintain accurate records of daily operations, maintenance activities, and water quality data
• Ensure compliance with all safety and environmental regulations and report any violations to the appropriate authorities
• Train and mentor new operators and assist in their development to maintain a high level of expertise within the team

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in water treatment is preferred
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a water treatment plant or related field
• Knowledge of water treatment processes, equipment, and chemical usage
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, diagrams, and schematics
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment
• Willingness to work rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
