Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement strategic plans for transportation and trade operations in line with company objectives
Monitor and analyze market trends and developments to identify potential opportunities and risks
Negotiate contracts with transportation providers, suppliers, and other relevant partners to secure the best rates and services
Manage and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, vendors, and regulatory agencies
Ensure compliance with all local, national, and international trade regulations and laws
Monitor and track shipments to ensure on-time delivery and resolve any issues that may arise
Optimize transportation routes and methods to minimize costs and improve efficiency
Develop and maintain transportation and trade policies and procedures to ensure consistency and compliance across all operations
Lead and train a team of transportation and trade professionals, providing guidance and support as needed
Regularly review and analyze key performance indicators to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies for optimization
Stay up-to-date with industry developments and trends to drive innovation and improve processes

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
Minimum of 5 years of experience in trade and transportation management, preferably in a similar industry
Strong knowledge of international trade laws and regulations
Proven experience in negotiating contracts and managing vendor relationships
Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Strong leadership and team management skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office and transportation management software
Willingness to travel as needed
