Job Title: Recreation Manager

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Recreation Manager to oversee all recreational activities and facilities at our organization. The Recreation Manager will be responsible for creating and implementing a variety of engaging programs and events for our members and guests. This individual will also be in charge of managing the maintenance and operations of our recreational facilities, ensuring they are safe, clean, and well-maintained at all times.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement a diverse range of recreational programs and events that cater to the interests and needs of our members and guests.
• Collaborate with other departments to coordinate and promote recreational activities and events.
• Plan and manage the budget for recreational programs and facilities, ensuring that all expenditures are within budget.
• Recruit, train, and supervise a team of recreational staff to provide exceptional customer service and maintain the highest standards of professionalism.
• Oversee the maintenance and upkeep of all recreational facilities, including pools, sports courts, fitness centers, and outdoor spaces.
• Ensure that all recreational equipment is properly maintained and in good working condition.
• Monitor and enforce safety regulations and emergency procedures for all recreational activities and facilities.
• Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure the availability of high-quality equipment and supplies.
• Keep up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in recreational programming, and make recommendations for improvements to enhance the overall experience for our members and guests.
• Handle any complaints or issues related to recreational activities and facilities in a timely and professional manner.
• Conduct regular inspections of recreational facilities and equipment to identify any potential hazards or maintenance needs.
• Prepare and present regular reports to management on the performance of recreational programs and facilities.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Recreation Management, Sports Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a resort or hospitality setting.
• Proven experience in developing and implementing successful recreational programs and events.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Sound knowledge of safety regulations and emergency procedures.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and recreational management software.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
