Job Description: As a Glassblower, you will be responsible for creating and shaping molten glass into various forms and products. You will use a variety of tools and techniques to manipulate the glass, including blowing, molding, and shaping. You will also be responsible for ensuring that the final product meets our company's high standards for quality and craftsmanship.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work with a team of glassblowers to create unique and high-quality glass products
• Operate and maintain glassblowing equipment, including furnaces, blowpipes, and molds
• Gather molten glass onto blowpipes and shape it by blowing, rolling, and manipulating with tools
• Use a variety of techniques to create different types of glass products, such as vases, bowls, and sculptures
• Work with a variety of glass types, including colored and textured glass
• Ensure that all products meet quality standards and make any necessary adjustments to achieve desired results
• Collaborate with designers and artists to bring their visions to life through glassblowing
• Keep accurate records of materials used and work completed
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in glassblowing
• Strong understanding of glass properties and how to manipulate them
• Ability to work with a team and take direction from others
• Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
• Creative and artistic mindset
• Attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality work consistently
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn and improve skills
• Physical ability to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds
