Key Responsibilities:

Conduct thorough research and gather information from various sources to develop original content
Write and produce news stories, features, and other multimedia content for print, digital, and broadcast platforms
Utilize various multimedia tools, such as video, audio, graphics, and social media, to enhance storytelling and engage our audience
Pitch and develop story ideas that align with our brand and audience interests
Conduct interviews and gather quotes from sources to provide accurate and well-rounded coverage
Collaborate with other team members, including photographers, videographers, and editors, to produce high-quality multimedia content
Adhere to ethical and journalistic standards and maintain a high level of accuracy and integrity in all content produced
Stay updated on current events and trends to ensure timely and relevant coverage
Monitor analytics and feedback to continuously improve and refine content strategy

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, or relevant field
Minimum of 3 years of experience in multimedia journalism, preferably in a fast-paced news environment
Proficient in AP style and other journalistic writing standards
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong storytelling abilities and a creative approach to content production
Proficient in video and photo editing software, such as Adobe Premiere, Photoshop, and Final Cut Pro
Knowledge of social media platforms and their use in storytelling
Ability to work under tight deadlines and adapt to changing priorities
Strong attention to detail and fact-checking skills
Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, as needed
