Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain databases for various applications and systems, ensuring data integrity, security, and availability.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into logical and physical database models.
Identify and resolve database performance issues, data anomalies, and other technical problems.
Create and maintain database documentation, including data dictionaries, data flow diagrams, and ER diagrams.
Monitor database performance and recommend improvements to optimize efficiency and improve user experience.
Develop and implement data backup and disaster recovery strategies to ensure data integrity and availability.
Conduct data analysis and provide insights to support business decision-making processes.
Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry best practices in database design and development.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Proven work experience as a Database Design Analyst or a similar role.
Strong knowledge of database management systems such as Oracle, SQL Server, and MySQL.
Experience with database design and data modeling tools such as ERwin, ER/Studio, and Visio.
Proficiency in SQL and database programming languages.
Experience with database administration, performance tuning, and data security.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to work well in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
