Key Responsibilities:

Design, implement, and maintain efficient and secure databases for our company's applications.
Ensure data integrity and accuracy through data validation and quality checks.
Collaborate with software developers to integrate databases with applications and troubleshoot any issues.
Monitor database performance, identify bottlenecks, and optimize database performance.
Develop and maintain database documentation, including data standards, procedures, and definitions.
Create and maintain database backup and recovery strategies.
Identify and resolve database-related issues in a timely manner.
Perform database upgrades and migrations as needed.
Develop and maintain data security protocols to protect sensitive information.
Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in database management.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Database Engineer or a similar role.
Strong understanding of database management systems such as MySQL, Oracle, and SQL Server.
Experience with database design, development, and maintenance.
Proficient in SQL and database query optimization.
Familiarity with data warehousing and ETL processes.
Knowledge of data security protocols and best practices.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
