Position: Steel Quality Control Inspector

Job Description: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Steel Quality Control Inspector to join our team. As a Steel Quality Control Inspector, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our steel products meet industry standards and customer requirements. Your primary responsibility will be to inspect and assess the quality of steel materials and products throughout the manufacturing process.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough inspections of steel materials and finished products using various tools and equipment such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges
• Record and document all inspection results and maintain accurate quality control records
• Identify and report any defects or deviations from specifications to the production team for corrective action
• Collaborate with other departments to address quality issues and implement corrective and preventive measures
• Monitor and maintain the quality of production processes to ensure compliance with industry standards and customer requirements
• Conduct visual inspections and perform non-destructive tests on steel materials and products
• Participate in the development and improvement of quality control procedures and processes
• Train and mentor new quality control inspectors on inspection techniques and procedures
• Stay updated with industry standards and regulations related to steel quality control
• Assist in conducting audits and preparing reports for internal and external stakeholders

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent, technical degree or certification in quality control is preferred
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a quality control role, preferably in the steel industry
• Knowledge of quality control procedures and techniques
• Familiarity with measuring tools and equipment used in quality control inspections
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify defects and deviations
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Proficient in computer applications such as Microsoft Office and quality management software
• Willingness to work flexible hours and adapt to changing schedules
• Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks
