Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop electrical systems for new and existing products, including schematics, wiring diagrams, and bill of materials
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure all electrical components meet design requirements and are integrated seamlessly with other systems
• Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments, and cost-benefit analyses to determine the most efficient and effective design solutions
• Utilize design software and tools to create and modify electrical designs, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations
• Conduct rigorous testing and troubleshooting of electrical systems to identify and resolve any issues or defects
• Create and maintain technical documentation and specifications for all designs and modifications
• Stay up-to-date with industry advancements and trends to continuously improve design processes and techniques
• Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to source electrical components and materials and ensure timely delivery of products
• Assist with the development of project timelines and budgets, providing regular progress reports to stakeholders
• Mentor and train junior engineers, providing guidance and support to foster their professional growth

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical design, preferably in a manufacturing or product development environment
• Proficiency in electrical design software, such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or Altium
• Extensive knowledge of electrical principles, codes, and standards (e.g. NEC, IEC, UL)
• Experience with designing and testing electrical systems for consumer products is highly desirable
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines
• Willingness to travel occasionally for supplier visits or project-related meetings
