Job Title: Development Officer, Trade

About the Role: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Development Officer for our Trade department. As a Development Officer, you will play a crucial role in driving growth and expansion in our organization's international trade operations. You will be responsible for identifying new trade opportunities, developing relationships with potential partners, and executing strategies to enhance our global presence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential trade opportunities in different regions.
• Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, trade organizations, and potential partners.
• Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to develop and execute trade strategies that align with the organization's overall goals.
• Identify and attend trade shows, conferences, and networking events to promote our products and services and expand our network.
• Negotiate trade agreements and contracts with international partners, ensuring favorable terms for our organization.
• Monitor and analyze global trade trends, regulations, and policies to identify potential risks and opportunities for our organization.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including logistics, finance, and legal, to ensure smooth execution of trade operations.
• Provide regular reports and updates to the management team on the progress and results of trade initiatives.
• Continuously evaluate and improve our trade processes and procedures to increase efficiency and effectiveness.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in International Business, Trade, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in trade development, preferably in an international setting.
• Strong knowledge of global trade regulations and policies.
• Proven track record of successfully identifying and executing trade opportunities.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
• Proficiency in a second language is a plus.
