The Laundry Attendant will primarily work in a commercial laundry room setting, which may be hot and humid at times. Job Title: Laundry Attendant

Position Overview: We are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Laundry Attendant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and proper handling of all laundry items, including linens, towels, and guest clothing. The Laundry Attendant will work closely with the housekeeping team to maintain a high standard of cleanliness and presentation throughout the property.

Key Responsibilities:

• Sort, wash, dry, and fold all laundry items according to company standards and procedures.
• Inspect all linens and towels for stains, tears, or other damage and report any issues to the Housekeeping Manager.
• Operate and maintain commercial laundry equipment, including washers, dryers, and folding machines.
• Maintain inventory of all laundry supplies and notify management when reordering is necessary.
• Keep laundry room and equipment clean and organized at all times.
• Follow proper safety and sanitation procedures to ensure a clean and healthy work environment.
• Assist with the delivery and pick-up of guest laundry items as needed.
• Handle all guest laundry items with care and ensure they are returned promptly and in their proper condition.
• Report any maintenance or repair needs for laundry equipment to the Housekeeping Manager.
• Follow all company policies and procedures, including those related to safety and confidentiality.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a commercial laundry setting preferred.
• Knowledge of laundry equipment and detergents.
• Ability to lift and carry laundry items weighing up to 25 pounds.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed.
