Position: Leisure Services Director

Are you passionate about creating memorable leisure experiences for individuals of all ages? Do you have a knack for managing and coordinating various leisure activities and events? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as a Leisure Services Director.As the Leisure Services Director, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our leisure services department. This includes planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating a wide range of leisure activities and programs for our community members. You will also be responsible for managing a team of leisure services staff and ensuring that all services are delivered in a safe and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement a comprehensive leisure services program that caters to the diverse needs and interests of our community members.
• Collaborate with other departments to plan and execute special events and activities.
• Manage the department budget and ensure that all expenditures are within budget.
• Recruit, train, and supervise a team of leisure services staff.
• Develop and maintain relationships with community partners, vendors, and sponsors to enhance our leisure services offerings.
• Conduct regular evaluations and assessments of leisure services programs to ensure they are meeting the needs and expectations of our community members.
• Monitor industry trends and incorporate new ideas and initiatives into the leisure services program.
• Ensure all leisure services activities and events are in compliance with safety regulations and protocols.
• Maintain accurate records and reports related to leisure services activities and programs.
• Develop marketing strategies to promote leisure services programs and increase participation.
• Act as a liaison between the leisure services department and other departments within the organization.
• Handle any customer inquiries or concerns related to leisure services activities and events.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in leisure studies, recreation management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a leisure services management role.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proven ability to plan and execute successful leisure programs and events.
• Knowledge of budget management and financial planning.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software programs.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
