Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement data security policies and procedures, in line with industry standards and best practices.
Conduct thorough reviews of our company's data security practices and identify any areas of weakness or non-compliance.
Advise and provide guidance to our company's leadership team on data security matters, including potential risks and legal implications.
Review and negotiate contracts and agreements with third-party vendors, ensuring that all data security requirements are met.
Stay up-to-date with changes in data security laws and regulations, and ensure that our company remains compliant at all times.
Collaborate with other legal and compliance teams to address any potential data security breaches or incidents.
Conduct training sessions for employees on data security best practices, and ensure that all employees are aware of their responsibilities in keeping customer data safe.

Qualifications:

Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school and a valid license to practice law.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in data security law, preferably in a corporate setting.
In-depth knowledge of data privacy and security laws, such as GDPR and CCPA.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex legal concepts to non-legal stakeholders.
Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Experience in conducting internal investigations and managing data security incidents is a plus.
