Position: Recreational Program Director

Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Recreational Program Director to join our team. As the Recreational Program Director, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our recreational programs, ensuring they are organized, engaging, and meet the needs and interests of our participants. This is a leadership role that requires strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement recreational programs that align with the organization's mission and values
• Create and maintain a schedule of recreational activities and events, considering participant feedback and interests
• Collaborate with other departments to coordinate resources and facilities for recreational programs
• Recruit, train, and supervise a team of recreation staff, providing guidance and support as needed
• Develop and manage program budgets, ensuring all activities and events are within budgetary constraints
• Plan and execute special events, such as holiday parties and community outings
• Build relationships with community organizations and businesses to secure partnerships and donations for program activities
• Oversee the registration process for program participants, ensuring accurate and timely enrollment
• Monitor program participation and gather feedback from participants to continuously improve programs
• Ensure all programs are in compliance with safety regulations and guidelines
• Evaluate and implement new recreational programs to meet the changing needs and interests of participants
• Communicate with participants and their families to keep them informed about program updates and events
• Develop marketing strategies to promote recreational programs and increase participation
• Conduct regular performance evaluations for recreation staff and provide ongoing training and development opportunities
• Stay current on trends and best practices in recreational programming to ensure our programs remain relevant and engaging

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Recreation, Leisure Studies, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in recreational program management, preferably in a leadership role
• Strong leadership and supervisory skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, and prioritize tasks
• Budget management experience
• Knowledge of safety regulations and guidelines for recreational activities
• Creative and innovative mindset
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to oversee program activities and events
• Passion for creating fun and engaging recreational programs for participants of all ages and abilities
