Job Title: Data Security Expert

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Security Expert to join our dynamic team. As a Data Security Expert, you will be responsible for ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our organization's data. You will work closely with our IT team to develop and implement data security policies, procedures, and standards to safeguard our data from potential threats. The ideal candidate must have a strong understanding of data security principles, risk assessment, and compliance regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement data security policies, procedures, and standards to protect our organization's data.
• Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential vulnerabilities and recommend appropriate security measures.
• Monitor and analyze data access logs and network traffic to detect and prevent unauthorized access or malicious activities.
• Collaborate with the IT team to implement and maintain security tools and technologies, such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and data encryption.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest security trends and best practices to ensure the effectiveness of our data security measures.
• Conduct training and awareness programs for employees to promote data security awareness and compliance.
• Investigate and respond to security incidents and breaches, and take appropriate actions to mitigate the impact.
• Work with external auditors to ensure compliance with data security regulations and standards.
• Manage relationships with third-party vendors and service providers to ensure the security of our data.
• Provide regular reports and updates to management on the status of data security and recommend improvements as needed.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven work experience as a Data Security Expert or a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of data security principles, risk assessment, and compliance regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, ISO 27001).
• Experience with security tools and technologies, such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and data encryption.
• Familiarity with vulnerability assessment tools and techniques.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Relevant certifications, such as CISSP, CISM, or CISA, are a plus.
