Key Responsibilities:

Design and implement Cassandra databases based on business requirements
Develop and maintain data models, schemas, and database structures
Optimize database performance and troubleshoot any issues that arise
Collaborate with software development teams to integrate Cassandra databases with applications
Work closely with data engineering teams to ensure data is properly collected, stored, and retrieved from Cassandra databases
Monitor database performance and implement necessary improvements and upgrades
Perform data migration and data backup operations
Develop and implement data security and access control measures
Stay updated with the latest Cassandra features and best practices and share knowledge with the team
Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to improve database design and performance
Continuously improve and optimize database processes for better efficiency and scalability

Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
Minimum of 3 years of experience working with Cassandra databases
Strong understanding of NoSQL databases and data modeling
Proficiency in Cassandra query language (CQL) and database administration
Experience with Cassandra database design and implementation
Hands-on experience with Cassandra cluster management and tuning
Knowledge of data replication, backup, and recovery strategies
Understanding of data security and access control principles
Familiarity with ETL processes and tools
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
Certification in Cassandra or other NoSQL databases is a plus
