Position: Student Success Advisor

Overview: As a Student Success Advisor at Crimson Zenith Tech College, you will play a critical role in supporting the academic and personal success of our students. You will serve as a mentor, coach, and advocate for students, helping them navigate the challenges of higher education and achieve their goals. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about making a positive impact on students' lives and are looking for a dynamic and fulfilling career in the education industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide guidance and support to students throughout their academic journey, from admission to graduation, ensuring their success and retention.
• Develop and maintain relationships with students, serving as their primary point of contact for academic and personal matters.
• Conduct regular check-ins with students to assess their progress, address any challenges, and provide resources and solutions to support their success.
• Collaborate with other academic advisors, faculty, and staff to ensure a cohesive and comprehensive support system for students.
• Utilize data and analytics to track student performance and identify at-risk students, proactively intervening to provide assistance and resources.
• Assist students with course selection and registration, ensuring they are on track to meet their academic requirements and goals.
• Provide guidance on academic policies, procedures, and resources, helping students navigate the complexities of higher education.
• Serve as a liaison between students and various departments, advocating for student needs and addressing any issues or concerns that may arise.
• Organize and facilitate workshops, events, and other initiatives to promote student success and engagement.
• Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices, continuously seeking ways to improve and enhance the student experience.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in education, counseling, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience working in academic advising, counseling, or a similar role.
• Strong understanding of higher education policies, procedures, and resources.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish trust with students.
• Empathetic and patient, with the ability to support and guide students through challenges and setbacks.
• Proactive and solution-oriented, with the ability to identify and address issues before they escalate.
• Data-driven and analytical, with the ability to interpret and utilize data to inform decision-making.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage a high caseload and prioritize tasks effectively.
