Employment Type: Contract to hire

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly organized and compassionate individual to join our team as a Funeral Service Manager. As the Funeral Service Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of funeral services and ensuring that each service is carried out with the utmost care and professionalism. This role requires someone with strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a deep understanding of the funeral industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and oversee all funeral services, including visitations, ceremonies, and burials
• Meet with families to discuss their needs and preferences for the funeral service
• Assist families in selecting appropriate caskets, urns, and other funeral merchandise
• Manage and maintain funeral home facilities, ensuring they are clean and presentable at all times
• Supervise and train funeral home staff, including funeral directors, support staff, and funeral assistants
• Oversee the preparation of the deceased for visitation and burial, ensuring that all necessary paperwork is completed accurately
• Coordinate with clergy, musicians, and other service providers to ensure a seamless funeral service
• Ensure that all funeral services are carried out in accordance with legal requirements and industry standards
• Manage funeral home finances, including budgeting, invoicing, and record-keeping
• Provide support and guidance to grieving families, offering compassionate care and assistance during their time of need

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Funeral Service, or a related field (preferred)
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in the funeral industry
• Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage and motivate a team
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Compassionate and empathetic nature
• Knowledge of funeral industry regulations and best practices
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and funeral home management software
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed
